Initial Environmental Audits

An Initial Environmental Audit is carried our as part of the requirement and compliance with the existing Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act (EMCA, 1999), and aims at fulfilling the following objectives.

• Fulfil legal requirements as outlined in Section 68 of the Act and Regulation 31 of the Regulations;
• Propose corrective actions for environmental and safety non conformities;
• To provide baseline information upon which subsequent Environmental Audits shall be based.
