Every individual is entitled to a safe and secure environment; however this is not the reality. We are faced with all kinds of threats in our everyday endeavours which include: muggings, hostility, aggression, kidnapping and other forms of violence.
In addition some organisations operate in high risk areas which expose their staff to some form of safety and security threats. As much as the government has a responsibility to ensure safety and security for its citizenry and visitors, likewise organisations and individuals have a role to play in ensuring own safety and security.
